Maddie and Zack’s engagement session at Turtle Creek was such a dream! They chose this spot because it’s beautiful, classic, and full of variety. From the timeless white columns of Arlington Hall to the peaceful trails and water features at Turtle Creek Park, we had so many great spots to work with. These two made it all look effortless!
We shot on both digital and film, which added so much depth to their gallery. I love mixing the two — digital brings that clean, crisp look, while film gives everything a softer, more romantic vibe. The combination fit their session perfectly!
Maddie and Zack have an awesome story: they met on a cruise years ago when their families happened to be seated together at dinner. Such a fun and totally unexpected way to meet someone! And now, here they are, planning their wedding and letting me tag along to capture it all.
I first met Maddie when I photographed her senior portraits after she graduated from UT during the height of COVID. Getting to reconnect now, years later, and photograph her engagement session (and soon, her wedding!) has been so special. I’m genuinely so excited to document this next chapter for them!
Their wedding is coming up next March in Aubrey, TX, and I already know it’s going to be amazing. If their engagement session was any preview — full of laughs, easy connection, and genuine joy — then the big day is going to be something really special!
