We kicked off 2026 with Carolyn and Chris’s wedding in Round Top, and it set the bar high!
From the beginning, Carolyn told me she wanted the wedding to feel like a big backyard family dinner. Nothing overly produced. Just everyone together, comfortable, well-fed, present and happy. And that’s exactly how it unfolded.
The whole weekend felt brimming with life. The design had personality and intention, and SO much color. The weather was warm and glowy – especially for February. Their people showed up fully. And Round Top did what it does best: gave everything that relaxed, quaint feel that makes a wedding weekend feel transportive and special.
Everyone stayed at Rancho Pillow, which naturally created that barefoot, backyard, cozy feel in the best way. Guests wandered between houses with drinks in hand. Shoes came off. Espresso martinis and margaritas flowed. The party went on long after the grand exit.
It was very Type B in the best way – go-with-the-flow, fully present, and freaking FUN! And because of that, the energy felt natural. Just people enjoying each other and a couple completely in the moment.
